FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why isn't a particular organization included in the (drop-down) Organization list?
An organization may not appear in the drop-down field on pages where an Organization can be selected, because it does not meet the criteria (see next question). It may be found in the detailed Organization List and when using the Search page.

What's the criteria for being included in the (drop-down) Organization list?
The top-25 most important racing series are listed. Importance is determined by the availability of Super License points for the series, which makes F1 the most important, followed by F2, Indycar, etc. Of course there are exceptions, Super License points are not relevant for rallying, motorcycle racing and drag racing. WRC is ranked based on the Super License points that used to be available for WRC, and the MotoGP is ranked next to WRC since its popularity is similar. The NHRA is further down since its appeal is largely confined to North America. National F3 and F4, and International GT series all have Super License points available, but to include them would make the list considerably longer than 25, so they are excluded (with the exception of Porsche Supercup because it supports F1).

What's the criteria for being included in this site in the Organizations page?
It simply has to have an easily accessible list of events for the current or upcoming year that unambiguously details the when and where (at which track) each event will take place. Language is not an issue provided Google website translate (http://itools.com/tool/google-translate-web-page-translator) is able to translate the website.

I see an Organization that is not listed, but meets the criteria above, can I have it added?
Yes. We welcome additions to try and make this site as comprehensive as possible. Please e-mail us at admin@roadracetracks.com and let us know the details. Thanks!

When I click on one state, or select a state from the drop-down list, a different state is displayed - why?
For MS Internet Explorer users this may be because of a setting for your Temporary Internet Files. To promote performance, and reduce storage demands, several settings are available which cause your computer to try and match the page name you're visiting with the pages that are temporarily stored on your computer's hard-drive. If a match is found (given certain timing/session criteria) the page on your hard-drive is displayed instead of downloading the page over the internet. But for sites that dynamically build pages, the page name may be the same as a page stored on your computer's hard-drive, but the content of the page is different. You may not have realized that this is happening. There are many sites that dynamically build pages, and you may have been missing out on some important information. The fix is easy, and does not pose any sort of additional security risk (beyond the normal risks found by accessing any page over the internet). Simply click on "Tools" on your Internet Explorer menu bar, and select "Internet Options". Find and select the "Settings" button for "Temporary Internet Files". Click or check the option that checks for newer versions of stored paged on every visit to the page. Select "Ok" until you've exited "Internet Options" and then refresh the page on display. The problem should not reoccur.
Other browsers can exhibit similar problems, and the solution is usually some variant on the above. We recommend searching Google for help in this matter.
